CROC WATCHING
Tonight we took the tinnie out with a drink and a torch and were spotting crocs along Bindoola Waterhole. This waterhole runs at the back of the homestead and there are 8 new grass castles as their called or rooms to stay ai along the water. There are fresh water crocs in here but the salties can get in also as this waterhole links directly to the Pentacost River. No one has seen a saltie in here so we all swim at a spot called the Rock hole pool. (pictures attached) It was just 4 of us that went out in the boat. The outboard motor is electric and so makes minimal noise. We must have seen 20 crocs between us well their eyes anyway. It was a really nice night and the sky was full of stars. The captain of the ship Brie was having difficulty seeing though and ran us into the trees on the bank and almost sent me into the eerie depths as I was sitting on the front of the boat. She was dismissed from her duties and Belinda took over. We were out for about an hour and a half just floating up and down the waterhole enjoying the peace and quiet on the water.
